I love Las Vegas. There are no two ways around it. I love everything about it including the gambling, the shows, the amazing restaurants, the hotels, and the people I meet there. I’ve been to Vegas over one hundred times in my life so I would say that I am a pretty good judge of what are the best things to do there, and how to best save money on your next Vegas vacation. The main things to keep in mind when planning for Las Vegas is to make sure you are organized with your ride there and your ride home. If you plan out your traveling plans carefully, you will end up saving a lot of money on the car ride or flight there, and also having a lot of fun. The other thing you should carefully research is the different hotel deals that are available at each of the different cheap Las Vegas hotels in and around the Las Vegas Strip. This guide will spell out the best ways to travel to Las Vegas without spending a lot of money, as well as highlight a few good hotels to stay at.

If you live within an eight-hour drive of Las Vegas, and you have friends that are willing to split the cost of gas, then I recommend you drive instead of fly. The drive in to Vegas can be a lot of fun if you have friends with you to kill the time and make conversation with. However, if you are going by yourself and meeting friends once you are in Las Vegas and splitting a cheap Las Vegas hotel, then I would suggest booking a flight. Southwest Airlines always has very cheap flights. Make sure to book the flight well in advance, however, or else you will be looking at steep rates. If you book at least a month in advance, it can usually work out to be about as cheap as driving, and you don’t have to deal with traffic.

Once you have your travel arrangements planned out sufficiently, you are going to want to select the right place to stay out of all the cheap Las Vegas hotels that are out there. One of my favorite hotels to stay at is the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. The hotel was recently remodeled so it’s a lot more upscale than you would think, but their rates are some of the lowest out of all the cheap Las Vegas hotels I know of. I would also consider Caesar’s Palace hotel if you are going with your family, as it provides a fun Roman theme that is sure to brighten your day.

Remember, Las Vegas has the potential to be one of the best vacation spots you can imagine, and you don’t have to go broke to enjoy it. Just make sure to book your travel arrangements and cheap Las Vegas hotel room early so that you do not end up spending more than you want to.
